Saturdays - Wildwood Park Nature Walk

TIME: Every Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
WHERE: Cascade Streamwatch Trailhead
DESCRIPTION: Immerse yourself along the wild and scenic Salmon River and discover the unique life history of salmon in this complex and thriving stream ecosystem. Led by Forest Service Interpreters, the hour hike begins at the Cascade Streamwatch Trailhead.

Sundays - Weekly Sunday Brunch

TIME: Every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
WHERE: The Highlands Restaurant
DESCRIPTION: Each brunch features a special menu of wonderful selections from Chef Dale Rasmussen, including such items as fresh fruit and pastries, mouth-watering hot breakfast entrees, a selection of fine cheeses, freshly caught seafood, hot roast beef, ham or turkey and sinfully delicious desserts. Prices for non-holiday brunches are $25 per adult, $19 per senior and $13 per child 7-12 (6 and under free). Reservations are strongly recommended - make yours today!

Mt Hood Heritage Day

TIME: Sept. 23 activities begin at10:00 a.m.
WHERE: Government Camp, Oregon
DESCRIPTION: A full day of activities for the entire family. Museum Open House. No charge. Heritage booths, arts cabins, collectible cars cruise-in and hill climb, Barlow Road pioneer camp. Special interpreters from the Cascade National Volcano Center and Mt. Hood National Forest will staff special exhibits. Learn when Mt. Hood volcano will erupt, or how to locate a forest fire, or take a nature hike lead by professionals from these agencies. Tour the arts cabins, see craftsman and artist demonstrations. Heritage buffet with baron of beef, salmon and special side dishes. Pre-purchase tickets required. $20 each. First setting is at 6:30 p.m. Includes a silent auction, old cars contest, music, and more.
