                    <p><img src="../content/2006_11/entertainment_clip_image004.jpg" alt="2" width="128" height="96" hspace="4" vspace="4" align="right" />The Wy'east  Book Shoppe &amp; Art Gallery offers a varied and unexpected mix of new books  and original artwork in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.&nbsp; You can browse through your book selection with  soft music playing in the background, while sitting in comfortable, rustic  hand-made log furniture in front of a roaring fire in the fireplace.&nbsp; </p>
                    <p>Just  in time for holiday shopping you will be pleasantly surprised by the wonderful  artwork, all created by local craftsmen and artisans. Watercolors, photography,  oil paintings, pastels, woodturnings, sculptures, ceramics, screen  prints,&nbsp;jewelry, glass art, candles, and more await Mt  Hood&nbsp;shoppers.&nbsp;</p>
                    <p><img src="../content/2006_11/entertainment_clip_image006.jpg" alt="3" width="120" height="90" hspace="4" vspace="4" align="left" />The shop also  offers a full-service computer center (located in the mezzanine above the  store) for out-of towners who want to check their email, get a bit of work done  or even create their own holiday cards.&nbsp;  The center offers four up-to-date computer workstations with printers,  flat screen monitors, scanners, and a large worktable for projects.&nbsp; For those with a laptop, WiFi Internet  service is free, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.&nbsp;  The shop can also ship your purchases home for you from their Shipping Center via UPS or  FedEx.</p>

  &ldquo;Speaking  of Music&rdquo; with musical mountain resident Sandra Hyslop.&nbsp; The topic is &ldquo;A Flash in the Piano, a history  of the piano and its performers&rdquo;.&nbsp; How an  upstart instrument took over the keyboard world, from harpsichord and  clavichord to fortepiano and pianoforte.</p>
