SUNDAY, MAY 27
Portland Youth Philharmonic Mountain Classics Concert at The Resort at the Mountain. Join the Resort for the Youth Philharmonic's last concert of the season in the highlands of Mt Hood. These talented young musicians will again perform their traditional Memorial Day weekend concert at The Resort at The Mountain located at 68010 E Fairway Ave, Welches. WEDNESDAY - SUNDAY, JUNE 6 - 10
The Resort at The Mountain's 11th Annual International Croquet Invitational.
8am - 4pm everyday with the final starting at 1pm on Sunday. Don't miss this unique and fun event, where the world's best croquet players will meet and battle it out for the title.  This exciting tournament, made even more enticing by the gorgeous scenery surrounding our outdoor championship croquet courts, will end with the fully narrated finals on Sunday, June 10.  Mark your calendar and check back soon for this year's line-up of world-class players! 503-622-3131. Oregon Fly Fishing Festival at The Fly Fishing Shop. This event is geared to both seasoned fly anglers and those who would like to entertain the possibility of becoming involved in this pastime of "fly fishing". This is an all day HANDS ON event for anglers of all skill levels in a no pressure atmosphere. You are invited to observe and/or participate. We will feature casting clinics for both one and two handed fly rods, fly tying, basic knot skills, entomology (insects), reading the water, drift boating and so on. A Taste of the Mountain A group of restaurants (Rendezvous Grill and Tap Room, El Burro Loco, The Roasters, The Shack) in Welches are coming together for the 2nd annual “Taste of the Mountain” food event in association with the Oregon Fly Fishing Festival. TUESDAY AFTERNOONS, JULY 31 - AUGUST 28
Timberline Mountain Music Series, Free Music to the People! Get this on your calendars now! Live folk and bluegrass music at the Timberline Lodge historic outdoor amphitheater. The amphitheater was just renovated last summer and is a wonderful venue for enjoying great summertime music. Featured bands include Jackstraw, Misty River, Barbeque Orchestra, Tom May & David Rea, and Kate Power & Steve Einhorn. Shows start at 2:30pm weather permitting. 503 622-7979

 

Looking Ahead:

September 15 - 16: Festival of the Forest and the Last Hurrah Reunion at Wildwood Park.  The annual Festival of the Forest is returning to Wildwood Recreation Area in Welches, but this year they’re spicing ‘er up a bit. Not only will there be the traditional huckleberry pancakes, arts and crafts, and beer gardens, the festival is now the site of the Last Hurrah reunion. November 10 – 11, Saturday & Sunday: 19th Annual Wine & Art Festival at The Resort at the Mountain.
