Cloud Cap Inn Tours with Crag Rats Mountain Rescue Organization & Hood River Ranger District of Mt Hood National Forest. Interpretive tours of this historic building, discover its unique history and enjoy the surrounding majesty of Mt Hood. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, 100-year old Cloud Cap Inn originally served as a unique mountain retreat and is now used as a search and rescue base for the Hood River Crag Rats. Summit to Surf, Tour de Cure Bike Ride around Mt Hood from Welches to Hood River. Join us for Oregon and SW Washington's Tour de Cure (Summit to Surf), the nationwide bicycling event held in more than 80 cities nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association. Second Annual Forest Service Junior Forest Ranger Day at Mt Hood SkiBowl West. Join the Forest Service and SkiBowl for a day full of activities and fun for the whole family. Young people can take part in becoming a U.S. Forest Service Junior Forest Ranger by participating in fun and interactive activities. Meet Smokey Bear and a Forest Service Fire Engine Crew. 4th Annual Crawdad Festival at the Skyway Bar and Grill. This celebration started a long time ago as a gathering of family and friends. In addition to the 300 pounds of crawdads that will be cooked over the weekend, the family will be barbequing ribs, burgers, chicken, and more. Hood to Coast Relay: As the largest running relay race in the world, The Hood To Coast Relay stretches 197 miles from the top of Oregon's majestic Mt. Timberline Marathon from Timberline Lodge to Timothy Lake. This is Oregon's signature TRAIL running event and you also earn Trail Runner Trophy Series points! Festival of the Forest and the Last Hurrah Reunion at Wildwood Park. The annual Festival of the Forest is returning to Wildwood Recreation Area in Welches, but this year they’re spicing ‘er up a bit. Not only will there be the traditional huckleberry pancakes, arts and crafts, and beer gardens, the festival is now the site of the Last Hurrah reunion. Mountain High XVI-Timberline Lodge Art Show. This year's theme for the show is "In The Shadows of Mt. Hood." It will celebrate the arts and crafts of local mountain residents. Numerous works from selected local artisans will be on display in the Lodge.

The Wild About Game Festival will return to The Resort at the Mountain on October 14. Starting at 11:00am, The Balmoral Bar & Highlands Restaurant will host a wonderful day of wild game demonstrations and tastings including the works of celebrity chefs. Pricing for the event day pass is $20 per person. (this is for admission to demonstrations and food samplings). The Wild Game Feast Dinner will start at 4:30pm. The per person ticket cost is $50 including gratuity.
