Holiday Shopping in the Villages of Mt Hood

Make a day of your holiday shopping in the Villages of Mt. Hood.  Start with a cup of hot coffee for yourself, and a pound of beans for the coffee drinker on your list, at Mt. Hood Roasters Café in Welches or the local roasting facility in Rhododendron and enjoy exploring.

If there’s a clever crafter on your list, Cast One On has beautiful natural fiber yarns and all the needles and patterns to go with it and don’t forget In Sheep’s Clothing for more woolly hand-crafted gifts.

The Gallery at Alder Creek showcases chainsaw carvings and log furniture made by a local artist.  Pick up a friendly brown bear statue to watch over your favorite garden.

Hood Information Center at 503-622-4822 or 888-622-4822 for guide referrals.  They also have a selection of fine photography and Mt Hood-themed art to bring the outdoors inside.  Get your adventurers decked out with gear from Mountain Sports in Welches, or for the fishing enthusiast, the Fly Fishing Shop has a huge array of everything the angler could desire.

Wy’East Book Shoppe & Art Gallery has plenty of new things to read and artistic gifts crafted by local artisans.  Made on Mt. Hood also carries a selection of local artisans’ wares, including Sue Allen’s bright cards and screenprints and Robert Brownscombe’s copper art to grace a garden or room.  There’s more fine art and craft as well as home décor to browse and buy at The Heart of the Mountain, including particularly selective and different tableware, dishware, and linens.  Get the celebration started with a bottle of Oregon wine and artistic glassware from The Wine Gallery

Don’t forget the furry members of the family!  Spot on the Mountain is the ideal place to pick up a nice new collar or fluffy bed.  You can special order your pet’s favorite food, too.
