Local artist, Sue Allen's series of 12 screenprints showing the sides and seasons of Mount Hood with the pictures, stats and stories that led to the creation of this work of art. Exhibited in the Dining Room hallway towards the conference center at Timberline Lodge.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 9
Learn all about Tying Stinger Flies for Winter Steelhead at The Fly Fishing Shop. This program starts with a short PowerPoint presentation featuring productive methods for fishing Stinger flies for steelhead. Then tying procedures for several proven local favorites will be demonstrated. String Leech, Metal Detector and Intruder patterns will be tied by guys that use them in their guide services. All of the latest tools and materials used in these demonstrations will be available for sale. Feel free to bring your own tools and materials and tie along. Or just hang-out and watch. This program will be held in our state of the art classroom which is equipped with close-circuit TV, PowerPoint Digital projector, story board and superb lighting for tying flies. Group Leaders: Josh Linn, Marty Sheppard and Hawkeye Hawkins. The programs and instruction are free. So are the coffee and snacks. 1-5pm. RSVP at 800-266-3971.

Oregon Cancer Ski Out at Mt Hood Meadows- 20th annual event that has raised more than $500,000 towards cancer research and hospice care
SATURDAY, MARCH 1
Ski Historic Glade Trail Day. An annual event on the first Saturday of March, by special permit from the Mt Hood National Forest , the Glade Trail is opened and groomed for this living history event. This full day event is a chance to experience a historical way of skiing on Mt Hood . Skiers are shuttled to Timberline Lodge by bus, escorted down the 3.0 mile trail to Government Camp by local guides and the Mt Hood Ski Patrol. Lunch, Apres ski party and prizes are included in this unique fundraiser for Mt Hood Cultural Center & Museum. Participation is limited. Event tickets are $100.00 per person. Suds on the Slopes at Mt Hood SkiBowl. The ultimate Spring Break Event. Ride all morning, then stop by the base and sample northwest microbrews and listen to live music. Then, stick around for the action as local skiers and riders launch themselves into a icy pond in a display of their mountain prowess. Whatever floats you boat.... Make sure to check out the Vertical Challenge, a big mountain event, where you have to pick the best and styliest way down the face of the mountain.
