The Good Times Saloon recently opened in the historic Log Lodge in Rhododendron (formerly Don Guidos). The Good Times Saloon offers a little bit of everything in good family dining in the 1923 Old Log Lounge building, rumored to have been originally built as a roadhouse, tavern and brothel for timbermen in the early 1900’s.
Newly redecorated with antiques, The Good Times Saloon welcomes everybody with a smile, whether they come for a cup of morning espresso or a hearty meal of barbeque prime rib or a libation from the lounge. A huge barbeque feed is planned for later in the summer; everyone is welcome.

Hoodland Fruit Stand is now open for the summer through October. Cliff, who is a long time mountain fixture and managed the produce department at Thriftway for many years, and his grandson Scott, have been operating the fresh produce stand from May to October for several years. The stand specializes in local and straight-from-the farm Oregon produce.
The quality and prices are comparable to and often even better than the grocery store and he will continue to offer some nursery stock and potted plants this summer. Check out the fresh local berries and corn on the cob in July and August, followed by peaches and apricots in September. And don’t miss the great selection of local berries as they are in season throughout the summer.
The produce stand is located next to the Brightwood Store in downtown Brightwood. Cliff is also known for his Saturday night Karaoke performances at The Shack Sports Bar. Some locals say he has a "Willie Nelson" style of voice, even though he enjoys all genres of music.
