Make a Date for a Carriage Ride
in Beautiful Welches, Oregon

There are several good reasons to give
Kory Reese of Whiskey Creek Outfitters a call. The first is, Kory is a real joy to talk with. She and her husband have lived on Mt Hood for about 12 years and Kory runs the business of carriage and covered wagon rides starring two powerfully handsome draft horses named Bob and Duke. Bob is eleven and Duke is eight years old. They have been together for five years. Both have especially nice dispositions and are accustomed to traffic.

Planning a Special Event in Mt Hood?

When planning a special event give Kory a call to arrange to have the carriage brought ‘round for you and your party. Door-to-door service with the carriage (seats 4) or covered wagon (seats up to 10) can also be arranged in the immediate Welches community. Generally with only 24 to 48 hours notice you’re good to go!

Whiskey Creek Outfitters offers several wedding package deals – especially for wedding photo sessions. Kory says “the bigger the horse, the nicer they seem to be” – and Bob the draft horse is so gentle and calm – he loves to pose for the pictures. Wedding photographs of you and your wedding party can be taken with the carriage or with just the horses. For something completely unique the bride can be photographed atop Bob – a very handsome Percheron gelding. This Bareback Package is fun to schedule after you get back from your honeymoon – so you don’t have to worry about your dress.

Rain or Shine

Next time you are planning a family gathering in the Villages, a historic student field-trip or other group activity you might want to consider reserving a covered wagon ride. The wagon stays nice and dry if it rains – and the carriage also has a cover. Generally they can operate all year long unless it gets too blustery.

Since Bob and Duke’s stable is located about a mile or so from The Resort at The Mountain it is easy for the front desk to reserve carriage or wagon rides for guests - generally with only a day or two’s notice.
