MT HOOD DINING
Can Mt Hood Pizza Get Even Better?
Yes, if You’re Devouring it With Friends
During the Super Bowl!
It’s Super Bowl season once again, and the Villages of Mt Hood are not exempt to its celebration.
Here at Mt Hood, just like everywhere else, the game is usually watched from home or from a pub or restaurant… and what goes hand and hand with a successful Super Bowl party but a scrumptious pizza.
The Villages of Mt Hood offer up all that is required, from cabins and condos that can accommodate a get together of family of friends or great restaurants and sports bars. Both situations can be experienced with a top notch world class pizza.
Two of the area’s favorites with both locals and visitors are the ZigZag Inn and Mogul Mountain Pizza.
Hot Slices and a Big Screen
The ZigZag Inn is well known for its pizza by those that live in the area as well as those that are coming and going to the mountain. The ZigZag Inn has been a local tradition since 1927. This warm and cozy log lodge offers both a dining area as well as a bar with big screen TV’s, a perfect spot to watch the game.
Their most popular pizza is their Super Pizza which includes Salami, pepperoni, Italian sausage, olives, onions and green peppers, but their selection is vast. One of my favorites is the garlic chicken on alfredo sauce pizza; I like to add pineapple. Other styles include a Greek style, a Vegetarian style, taco style and one that uses Oregon shrimp, pineapple and olives — variety galore. The bar serves soft drinks, beer and mixed cocktails. All that’s required for a fabulous Super Bowl can be found at the ZigZag Inn… or get your pizza to go.
Pizza Delivery in the Villages
Speaking of Pizza to go; those who would rather have a
party in their home or cabin can have their pizza delivered. Mogul Mountain Pizza, a local favorite, makes excellent pizza, pick up or delivery. All of their pizzas are made with fresh meats, 100% real cheeses, fresh veggies and hand tossed crusts. They even sell “Bumps”, their individual serving pizza, similar to a calzone. Mogul Mountain is the only delivered pizza on the mountain. Call them and have your hot pizza delivered by one of their friendly and enthusiastic Pizza Pilots. Also included on the menu are ribs, pizza subs, salads and soft drinks.
So, no matter where your trip to the Villages takes you on Super Bowl weekend, your pizza and snack bases are well covered. Break away from the routine. Gather your friends and visit The Villages of Mt Hood and relax with a fresh pizza and the Super Bowl game.
